North Bethesda

 

North Bethesda is a town northwest of Washington D.C. The region includes many parks, recreation centers, and conservation areas. In addition, you can find numerous shopping, entertainment, and dining locations along with easy access to Washington D.C.

 

The real estate in North Bethesda consists mainly of high-rise condominiums. You can find condominiums in smaller buildings, and many townhouses and single-family homes are available. Most homes are built in the colonial style and are on large lots that allow privacy and an open feel.

You can enjoy a cup of coffee with friends at Java Nation, a local coffee shop where local artists' works are on display around the shop, and you can enjoy music from regional musicians.

 

The Pike and Rose mall includes many shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. In addition to large retailers, there are small boutique stores such as Scout & Molly's, a local women's clothing store with hip and up-to-date styles, and Sur La Table, where you can find everything you need for your kitchen and dining rooms. They also offer cooking classes where you can learn everything from cooking the perfect steak to British baking.

 

The Pike and Rose mall also has many restaurants for residents. Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse offers a luxury dining experience and features private dining, an alfresco patio, and elegant private dining spaces. The menu includes an extensive wine list along with indulgent lunch and dinner selections.

 

Another Rose Mall treasure is Pinstripes, where you can enjoy bowling and dinner with your friends and family. North Bethesda does not disappoint when it comes to activities for residents. Many parks and festivals are located throughout the city, providing entertainment and unique experiences. The Block is a food hall that houses several local vendors and hosts many different events. One of their most loved is the Cinco De Mayo festival where you can enjoy Latin music and themed drinks.

 

North Bethesda is home to Strathmore, a historic mansion built in 1899 by Captian James Frederick Oyster. In 1979, the mansion and the surrounding 11-acres were acquired by Montgomery County. The estate now includes the Strathmore Music Center, where you can enjoy various music performances. In addition, many festivals and events are held on the grounds throughout the year.

 

Parks are abundant in North Bethesda. Cabin John Train Station is part of the Montgomery Park system and has multiple trails and activities. They also have a miniature train that you can ride around the park and party rooms for birthdays and other events.

 

The Garrett Park Neighborhood is home to Ken-Gar Palisades Park, which surrounds part of Rock Creek and has hiking trails and tennis courts for residents to enjoy.

 

For other outdoor activities, there is the Woodmont Country Club. Offering golf, racquet sports, a pool, and luxurious dining, it is an excellent location to spend time with friends and family. They also provide catering and banquet rooms for special occasions.

 

North Bethesda is served by Montgomery County Public Schools.
